Marketing Strategy: Practice What You Preach

Sometimes we take time away from our business and lose sight of what it’s all about! I recently had an issue with this a few weeks ago when I decided to take a much needed 7 day break from content creation & all things business.  When I came back, I was feeling incredibly overwhelmed.

I came back from my vacation feeling like I needed to do more, engage more, create a ton of content, push harder, and work longer hours JUST to make up for the time I had lost while out of office. I hopped on a call with my coach and she reminded me that as a Brand and Marketing Strategist, I needed to practice what I preach, which is that if you have a solid strategy, it will hold up even while you’re out of office.

My coach reminded me that with the solid strategy that my business possesses, it’s okay to take time off to rest so that I can avoid burnout. She also reminded me that I should be able to trust my strategy and know that it extends beyond the fleeting nature of Instagram and other social media platforms.

With all of that being said, I want to remind YOU that no one is perfect & it’s okay to take time off. Especially if you have a solid marketing strategy in place! Everyone falls susceptible to burnout & overwhelm–even us coaches! But that’s okay.

If you aren’t sure whether your marketing strategy extends beyond Instagram or would hold up over a vacation, then I would love to help you come up with a strategy that will overcome the test of time. Having a good strategy that you can rely on while out of office will give you the mental break you need without feeling like your business is falling apart!
